Mwanamke Fund intends to change the rules of the game, make resources accessible, and support local struggles led by local women's organisations.
Mwanamke Fund awards small grants paired with close, hands-on technical support, for the benefit of organisations led by Indigenous women, survivors of violence, displaced women, refugees, women living with disabilities and women living in poverty, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi. Grants cover the Fund's nine programmes and may contribute to grantees' core operating costs.

Every grant comes with close, hands-on technical support: strengthening financial management and reporting capacity, support with organisational structuring, and connection to a network of partner organisations across the region.
Calls for proposals are published on this page each year, together with all the documents needed to apply: guidelines, application form, budget template and supporting annexes. They are also circulated through our focal points in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi.
